This here, this Jaeger-LeCoultre, what’s it called, Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s a real fancy name, ain’t it? Seen some folks talkin’ ’bout it, sayin’ it’s a good thing to have, like puttin’ money in the bank, but shinier. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that, but I seen pictures, and it looks pretty, all shiny and all.
They say it’s a specialty store thing. You know, not somethin’ you just find at any old place. Gotta go to one of them fancy shops, I reckon. And this watch, it’s got two faces, like two watches in one! They say it tells the time on both sides. Imagine that! One side for when you’re feelin’ one way, and the other for when you’re feelin’ another, maybe? I don’t know, I just think it’s kinda neat.
And this chronograph thing, that’s like a stopwatch, right? But they made it fit this watch, even though it’s all square-like, not round like most. They must be real smart to figure that out. This Jaeger thing, they say it holds its value. Like, if you buy it, you can sell it later and not lose your shirt. That’s good, I guess. Nobody wants to throw their money away.

- Lots of different kinds, with shiny stuff and different faces.
They make ’em different, you see. Some got gold, some got silver, maybe even diamonds! And the faces, they ain’t all the same. They change ’em up. Keeps things interestin’, I suppose. This JLC thing, it is like those people who make lots of different stuff, not just the same thing over and over. They like to make things complicated, I guess, with lots of little bits and pieces movin’ around inside.
These Jaeger-LeCoultre fellas, they started this thing called the Reverso. Seems like it has been around for a while. I think my husband had a watch like this, maybe not a Jaeger but a similar thing. And this Tribute Chronograph, they say it’s like a new version of that old watch. Fancy, huh? And it’s all square, not round, which is kinda different. I like different. Makes you think.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout findin’ a replica, a fake one, you know? They said they wanted a Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso but didn’t want to pay the big bucks. I don’t know about that. Seems kinda sneaky to me. But hey, who am I to judge? People do what they gotta do, I guess.
This Reverso thing, it was made for some game. Polo, they call it. Rich folks ridin’ horses and hittin’ a ball with a stick. Sounds dangerous if you ask me. But this watch, they made it tough, so it wouldn’t break when they were playin’. It’s got them lines on it, like them old-timey pictures. Art somethin’ or other. And it flips over, that’s the special part, I reckon. Protects the face, I guess.
They had some other JLC watches too, they call it the Club line, and that were introduced in the 70s. There are different styles of them. And this is one of the most striking designs, I mean the case and the dial look so good, right? I don’t know if I’d wear one, but I can see why folks like ’em.
This whole Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph business, it’s a lot to take in. Lots of fancy words and whatnot. But I guess it’s a good watch if you got the money. And it’s kinda pretty, too. Maybe I’ll ask my grandson to show me more pictures. He’s good with that computer thing. He can probably find out all about it. Maybe even find one of them specialty stores where they sell ’em. He can do that, my smart grandson. Yeah, I think he can.
I guess that’s all I got to say about this watch thing. It’s been on my mind, seein’ folks talk about it. Just thought I’d share my thoughts. Don’t know if it makes much sense, but there you have it.
