So, I saw this PRADA Re-Edition 2000 Bag on their official website. You know, that place where they have all the fancy, expensive stuff? Yeah, that one. This bag, it just caught my eye. I mean, come on, it’s a classic, right? I decided I just had to have it, or at least try to make one myself, so, guess what? I did just that.

First, I spent hours looking at pictures of the bag online. I wanted to get every detail right, you know? The size, the shape, that little PRADA logo, everything. They call it a “mini hobo bag,” which sounds kinda funny, but okay. It’s made of this soft terry material, which I found out is like a towel, but fancier. And the colors! Oh boy, they have so many, it was tough to choose.

After I felt like I knew the bag inside and out, I went to the store to find similar stuff. I found the terry fabric, finally. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. I had to go to like five different stores! Then, I looked for something to make the strap and the little zipper and all that. That took a while too. Finding the right color was a real pain.

Once I had all the materials, the real fun began. I started cutting the fabric, following the shape I had in my mind. Then I sewed the pieces together. It wasn’t perfect, but I was getting there. The hardest part was probably the logo. I tried to embroider it, just like the real one, but let’s just say mine looks… unique.

  • Got the fabric and other bits from different stores.
  • Cut and sewed everything together, which was quite the task.
  • Tried my best with the logo, it’s… well, it’s there.

So, there you have it. My very own, handmade, not-so-perfect version of the PRADA Re-Edition 2000 Bag. It was a lot of work, but you know what? I’m pretty proud of it. And it didn’t cost me a fortune, which is always a plus.

The Finished Product

It’s not exactly like the one from the official store, but hey, it’s got character, right? And I made it myself, which makes it even more special. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it holds my stuff, and it looks kinda cool, I think. Maybe I’ll try making another one someday, with a different color. Who knows?
