So, I saw this watch online, the uh, CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. Yeah, that’s the one. I’ve actually wanted a Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for quite some time, and I just decided to go for it. I had looked for a used one from the past few years, but couldn’t find anything that really fit what I wanted.
I tried to check one out in person but they didn’t have any on display, but it just made me want the real Speedmaster even more. So last Monday, I walked into an Omega store and bought this Moonwatch Speedmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph. It was kind of an impulse buy, but hey, you only live once, right?
This one has that see-through back, a “transparent case back”, people say. It seemed like a big thing, you know. I mean, if you’re into this kind of stuff.
- Checked the serial number: I made sure to check for serial number, that’s a must. Seems like a lot of those fake Omegas have the same number.
- Looked for fake signs: I checked for the usual signs. You know, poor materials, bad printing on the dial, incorrect numbers. That kind of stuff. The real ones usually hold their value pretty well. Though maybe not as good as the Moonwatch Professional. But, you know, it’s not a Rolex or Patek. They say those appreciate like crazy.
- Compared to online pics: Of course, I went online and compared. Compared it with the images on the official website, and some reputable sellers, and to my eyes, they looked identical.
This Speedy really deserves that open case back! I like it. I heard some people saying Omega should offer the hesalite crystal with the exhibition case back. I don’t know, seems like they did, but not anymore.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure. I finally got my hands on a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch Sapphire – Cal.3861. Feels good, man. Feels good.
