This here, this Rolex GMT-Master II, it’s a real fancy thing. Heard folks call it the “Left-Handed Version,” whatever that means. Some fella said it’s the “Original order,” like it’s some kinda special pizza or somethin’. Ain’t never seen nothin’ like it, but my grandson, he’s all into these fancy watches. Says this one’s a real good fake, or a “high imitation” like he says.
Now, I don’t know nothin’ about these high-falutin’ things, but I can tell ya, it looks just like the real deal. Shiny and heavy, it is. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about “serial numbers” and “bezels.” Says you gotta look real close to see if it’s real or not. He says the real ones cost more than my old car! Can you believe that? For a watch!
Heard some fellas talkin’ about a “Pepsi” one. Ain’t that a drink? This one’s got some blue and red on it. They say that “Pepsi” one is somethin’ special, hard to find. Costs a whole heap of money, more than you can shake a stick at. My grandson, he says this left-handed one is just as good, though. Looks the same to me, but what do I know?

They say these watches got somethin’ called “movements.” Like it’s dancin’ or somethin’. And somethin’ about “COSC certification.” Sounds like a government paper to me. This here watch, my grandson says it’s got that “Superlative Chronometer” thing. Means it keeps good time, I reckon. Better than that old clock on my wall, that’s for sure. It tells the time, good or what! Within a couple seconds. You know the time all the time. How good is that?
Then there’s this other one, gold colored. “Yellow gold,” they call it. Got a black thing around the face, and a green face. Fancy, ain’t it? They say it’s “discontinued.” Like they don’t make ’em no more. Makes it worth even more, I guess. People collect these things, like stamps or somethin’.
This watch, it’s not too big, not too small. My grandson showed me, said it’s “40mm.” Don’t know what that means, but it fits just right on the wrist. And it’s not too thick neither. He says it’s made of some special steel, “Oystersteel” or somethin’. Says it’s tough, like a tractor. And you can get it wet, too, up to 100m. You can go swimmin’ with it, he said. Don’t know why you’d want to, but you can.
This Rolex, it’s a big deal, I guess. People sure do like ’em. They look nice, I’ll give ’em that. But are they worth all that money? I don’t know. My grandson likes this one. He’s been looking for this high imitation Rolex GMT-Master II, he wanted it, that’s it. I just hope this left handed version Rolex will last. He says this is the original order, that’s what matters, he says. Seems like a lot of fuss over a watch to me. But these young folks, they got their own ways. And this watch, it does look mighty fine, I gotta admit. This GMT-Master II is somethin’ else.
This Rolex GMT-Master II thing, it’s got all these little numbers and lines on it. You can see the date on there, if you squint real hard. It’s got this little bubble thing over the date, makes it easier to see, I guess. They call it a “cyclops.” Sounds like a monster from them old Greek stories.
They say this Rolex is a leader, whatever that means. Must be like the mayor of watches or somethin’. And they’re tough, too. Like they can take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’, as they say. But still look good. Like an old farmer in his Sunday best. And this is a high imitation Rolex, that’s good enough, my grandson always says.

But between you and me, I still think he’s crazy for spendin’ so much money on it. But hey, to each their own, right? This Rolex thing, it is somethin’ else, though. That GMT-Master II is real fancy, that’s what it is.
