That OMEGA, they made a new watch, called it Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer, like some fancy name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ from them space movies. They say it’s for that Mars, you know, that red place in the sky. My grandson, he’s always lookin’ at it with his telescope thing. Says it’s a planet. Imagine that! People wanna go there!
This new OMEGA X-33 Marstimer, it’s a big deal, I guess. They got all these fancy words for it, like “oxalic anodized aluminum bezel ring.” What in tarnation does that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a science book. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can see it’s got that red color, like that Mars place. They say it’s the classic style, but it is also a little different from the old one.
Now, I remember back in the day, OMEGA, they had these other watches. These new digital ones. They called ’em Speedmaster too, but they weren’t like the ones with the hands that go round and round. These new ones, they had numbers that just popped up, like on them calculators. One was called Speedmaster Professional LCD, and the other was just Speedmaster, no Professional. Sounds like one was for fancy folks and the other was for regular folks like me, but I ain’t no expert. They were popular back then in 1970s.
Then, way later, in ’98, they came out with another one. Called it the Marswatch, this Speedmaster Professional X-33. But they say it wasn’t really for goin’ to Mars. I reckon that space stuff takes more than just a fancy watch. But they are calling it “Marstimer”. I still don’t know what that means. But people buy it!

And then, a few years back, in 2014, they made another one. This one’s called Skywalker. Sounds like somethin’ out of one of them space adventure stories my grandson used to read. They say it’s still around. This Speedmaster X-33 Skywalker, it’s got a big ol’ case, made of titanium. Sounds tough, like it could take a beatin’.
Now, this new one, this Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer, they say it’s like that Skywalker one, but it’s got extra stuff on it. Stuff for that Mars. They say a day on Mars is longer than a day here. Imagine that! Time’s different there. This new OMEGA watch, it can tell you all that, what time it is on Mars. Like you really gonna need that, huh? But I guess if you’re goin’ to Mars, you might.
They say this European Space Agency, some big important space people, they asked OMEGA to make this watch. They needed somethin’ that could tell ’em all sorts of things about Mars time. Solar time, Mars time in different zones, how long they been up there on Mars. All sorts of complicated stuff. Sounds like a headache to me.
This OMEGA Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer, it’s a special watch. It is the newest OMEGA watch in their speedmaster collection. If you want to buy a watch, you need to check out for this one. This new watch has a lot of functions. You can use it to know time. You can also use it to know time on Mars. But I don’t know why people need to know that, unless you are going to Mars.
I heard someone say you can find anything on eBay. Maybe you can find one of these OMEGA watches on there. Used to be, you went to the store to buy a watch. Now, you just go on that computer and click around. Times sure have changed.
This OMEGA, they sure do know how to make a watch. Been around for a long time. My old man, he had an OMEGA watch. Kept it for years. Said it was a good watch. This new one, it’s probably a good watch too. Just a lot more complicated than the one my old man had.
Well, that’s all I know about this new OMEGA Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer watch. Sounds like a fancy piece of equipment. Probably costs a pretty penny too. But it is also a professional watch. I guess if you’re into that space stuff, it might be worth it. Me, I’ll stick to my old watch. It tells time just fine, and that’s all I need. But if you are looking for a Marswatch, this is it.
