Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this watch thing. It’s one of those CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch deals. Not a real one, mind you, but a pretty decent copy. It’s got that see-through back, they call it the “Sapphire” model, I guess? Anyway, I got my hands on one and figured I’d share my little adventure with it.
First off, I went looking for this thing. They don’t sell these at any old place. I found some shops online that claimed to have it. It was a bit of a wild goose chase, to be honest.
After I found it, I finally got one. This thing, it’s got that classic look, you know? Black dial, those white hands, the whole nine yards. Feels kinda solid in your hand, not too heavy, not too light. They call it the “Professional” model, like it’s some big shot or something.
- Look: It looks good, simple, classic.
- Feel: It’s got some weight to it, feels decent.
- Back: The back is clear, you can see all the little gears and stuff moving around.
Now, this ain’t like those digital watches you just slap on your wrist. You gotta wind this thing up. There’s this little knob on the side, the “crown,” they call it. You twist that a bunch of times, and it gets the watch going. Kinda old school, but there’s something satisfying about it, you know? Like you’re actually doing something.
Winding it Up
So, I’m sitting there, winding this thing up, and I’m thinking, this is kinda cool. It’s like taking a step back in time. And that transparent back, it’s mesmerizing. You can see all those little parts working together, it’s like a tiny little city in there. People say it is a big deal. I think I agree with them.
I’ve been wearing it around for a few days now. It keeps time pretty well, which is the whole point, right? I even tried timing some stuff with the stopwatch, that’s those little dials on the side. Feels kinda official, like I’m some kind of scientist or something. This watch is 42mm in diameter and it looks good on my wrist.
All in all, this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch thing, it’s a fun little toy. It’s not a real OMEGA, so I didn’t have to sell a kidney to get it. But it’s got that classic style, that see-through back is neat, and winding it up is strangely satisfying. If you’re into watches, or just want something a little different, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect it to make you an astronaut or anything.
Oh, and I heard these things, especially the old ones, they can be worth some serious dough. Not this copy, of course, but the real vintage ones. Crazy, right?
