Nope, not limited, which is kind of cool because it means more people can get their hands on it.
Then I looked into the history, I found out that it was released in 2020. This watch is a tribute to the “Silver Snoopy Award” that OMEGA got back in 1970. What’s that award for? Helping the Apollo 13 crew get back to Earth safely. Pretty awesome, right?
Next, I started browsing the OMEGA online store. I wanted to see it with my own eyes, not just in pictures. The design is just… wow. It’s got this sleek, modern look, but it still feels classic. It features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, showcasing a rhodium-plated finish. The back of the watch is where it gets really interesting, though. They’ve done something special with the Snoopy design for this 50th-anniversary edition. It’s not just a small detail; it’s a whole different approach compared to the older models.
Finally, I realized I wanted one and I went to try and get it. Of course, getting my hands on one wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. Even though it’s not a limited edition, it’s super popular. I guess it will cost lots of time and strength. After calling a bunch of stores and even visiting a few, I finally found one. And let me tell you, it was worth all the trouble.
Wearing it now, I can see why people love it so much. It’s not just a watch; it’s a piece of history. And yeah, I know it’s not as accurate as some other watches out there. Someone mentioned it’s not as precise as the Rolex Daytona, which can be accurate to -2/+2 seconds a day. But honestly, that doesn’t bother me. It’s the story behind it, the design, and yeah, the Snoopy connection, that makes it special to me.
