You see, this here OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime, it ain’t just some fancy watch. It’s the real deal, I tell ya. It’s like, they don’t make ’em like this anymore. My old man used to say, “A good watch is like a good friend, always there when you need it.” And this one, it’s like the best friend you could ask for. It’s a specialty, and you can only find it in some specialty stores. I heard that it is a good thing for the serious collectors. Those people really know their stuff.
Now, this here watch, it’s got history, you know? Like, it went to the moon! Can you believe that? They call it the Apollo missions. My grandson, he’s all into that space stuff. He told me all about it. He said this here watch was the first one on the moon with Apollo 11. Imagine that, a watch on the moon! This here OMEGA, they used to make another one, called the OMEGA Speedmaster Reduced. But they stopped makin’ it in, oh, I reckon it was 2009. That’s what I heard, anyway. So if you got one of them, hold onto it tight! It might be worth somethin’ someday. They say this new one, it is called Numbered Edition, it is big, 45 mm.
This Chrono Chime, it ain’t for just anybody. It’s for them serious folks, the ones who know about watches, the collectors. It’s got all them fancy things inside, what do they call it? A Calibre, yeah, that’s it. A first-of-its-kind, they say. Means it’s the first one like it, ever. Pretty special, huh? This Speedmaster Chrono Chime, also known as ref 522.50.45.52.03.001. What a mouthful! That number is important, I guess.
This watch, it’s got a gold case. 18K Sedna Gold, they call it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? It’s like that old gold watch my husband used to have. He always said it was the best. And this one, it’s inspired by the second one they made, the Speedmaster CK 2998. That one went to space too, the first watch worn in space, they say. It’s all connected, you see. Like a family tree, but with watches.
It’s got all them little things inside, movin’ around. They call it a Calibre 3330, an automatic movement. It’s based on another one, some fancy name, ETA Valjoux 7753. Has 31 jewels, whatever that means. And it goes tick-tock, tick-tock real fast, 28800 vph. Sounds like a whole lot of somethin’ goin’ on in there. I don’t know much about them things. I just know it tells time good.
Omega Speedmaster is a legend. A legend, I tell ya! Just like my grandma’s apple pie recipe. Everybody knows about it. This watch, it’s been around for a long time. And it’s seen a lot of things. It’s like a piece of history, right there on your wrist. If you can get one, you must go to those Specialty Stores. I heard they have many Omega Watches. You can find what you want.
This Speedmaster, it is good. My neighbor, old Mrs. Johnson, her son, he’s got one. He’s a big shot now, livin’ in the city. He comes to visit, wearin’ that fancy watch. He always says it’s the best, just like his mama’s cookin’. And he paid a pretty penny for it too, I reckon. So it must be good if someone pays that much.
