Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for a while now, the one with the transparent case back. Finally pulled the trigger and got one. I finally got my hands on it. Brand new, authentic, and it’s a beauty. It’s got that manual winding chronograph movement, which is pretty cool. The case is 42mm, stainless steel, and it’s water-resistant up to 50 meters. Not that I’m planning to go diving with it, but it’s good to know.
The best part, obviously, is that exhibition case back. You can see all the inner workings of the watch. It’s mesmerizing, honestly. And the dial has that classic Speedmaster look, with the name in red, which is a nice touch. It’s apparently inspired by the colors of astronaut spacesuits.
I wore it around, showed it off a bit, you know how it is. It feels great on the wrist. And knowing the history behind it, it’s not just a watch; it’s like a piece of history. I did some reading and learned that it’s got some magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss, which is apparently a big deal for watches.
